A Pure, Loving Heart with Wisdom
Question: How can we be considered to truly have a loving heart?
Answer: The prerequisite to have a loving heart is having wisdom, being pure and without any defilements or desires. True love is “unconditional loving-kindness and universal compassion, and feeling others’ pain and suffering as our own.”
Humble the Self to Expand the Mind
Question: How do we expand the narrow mind of ordinary beings?
Answer: Ordinary beings’ minds are narrow because the ‘self’ is too large. When the ego is too big, there is no room to accommodate others. Only when we humble ourselves can we expand our hearts.
The True Meaning of Helping Ourselves and Others
Question: How can I help myself and others?
Answer: To transform ourselves is to help ourselves. To influence others is to help others.
