Tzu Chi’s aid in India is having a lasting and far-reaching impact. From individuals whose lives have been transformed to villagers embracing healthier lifestyles, communities gaining access to health care through medical outreach, and families moving into homes where their living conditions are vastly improved, Tzu Chi’s support is making a substantial difference.
As for the volunteers serving here, their stories of heartfelt care will continue to grow and evolve. They remain attuned to the needs of those around them and offer help in countless ways, whether through a kind word, a moment of companionship to lift someone’s spirit, or practical assistance that meets immediate needs. What they bring is mindful presence.
Tzu Chi’s presence in India is now well-rooted, strengthening trust and connection wherever volunteers go. Sometimes, simply joining in the flow of daily life is the most natural way to build that bond, as one team did when they helped villagers in Jagdishpur with the harvest. Knowing that during autumn the community is busy in the fields and unable to attend charity distributions in nearby Bodh Gaya, Tzu Chi volunteer Boonchong Tan remarked, “If they can’t come to us, we’ll go to them,” and that is exactly what they did.
From individuals to communities to society, transformation begins not with force, but with inspiration toward change and steady support along the way. And that is what Tzu Chi is offering in India, one compassionate act at a time.
